A diy village hall wedding picture story
I joined Hannah & Pablo’s charming DIY wedding day at Emily & Pablo’s house, obviously minus Pablo who was preparing elsewhere supported by his brother. Their enviable camper van was on the drive prepped and ready to whisk them off post wedding on a European surf touring honeymoon. A couple with priorities I could understand. Room for one more?
The wedding ceremony at St.Peter’s church just off the market place in the centre of Petersfield got off to a hilarious start as initially the wrong track played for Hannah’s entrance. A touching ceremony followed and the clearly very happy couple were then smothered in love and congratulations before we all climbed aboard a red double decker and headed along country lanes to Buriton Village Hall where Emily & Pablo had lead family and friends in a grand project to create a super DIY wedding venue. The sun shone and the outdoor fun included bouncy castle duelling ( with a sign announcing - ‘Gladiators, take your shoes off!’), a coconut shy, and a very competitive all guest tug of war. The food was homemade and delicious, the speeches were wonderful, and I left as the sun dipped behind the South Downs. I’d do it all again. Some of my favourite pictures from the day are below.
If you like what you see, and fancy finding out more about the photography I could produce for you, I’d love to hear from you..
