A country house Wedding picture Story
Debbie & Tony’s wedding showed the delights of a mid life marriage, their joy and confidence sweeping everyone along throughout the day. It all happened at Hill Place, a lovely Georgian country house set in parkland surrounded by extraordinary apple orchards. Coincidentally, I’d visited the orchards at harvest time over preceding years doing seasonal country features for The Daily and Sunday Telegraph, and The Times, and it was lovely to return on a different photographic mission. It was a sunny day as I joined the fun as guests arrived and Debbie made her way up the grand staircase to get ready. After photographing Tony welcome his guests and clearly relishing what was to come, I then joined the bridal party upstairs for final touches as they prepared for their splendid descent down a long curling staircase to where Tony and assembled guests awaited their arrival in a beautiful period ceremony room. Debbie & Tony laughed and smiled through their vows, whooped through their confetti shower on the steps outside, and then Debbie & Tony split from their guests at pace around the side of the house for a moment alone on the front lawns before we all caught up with them for drinks, nibbles, pictures and games. There were fabulous speeches, a huge ukulele band including a serenading Tony, and then a beautiful sunset, before the couple lead dancing on in to the night. A wonderful day. Below are some of my favourite images.
If you like what you see, and fancy finding out more about the photography I could produce for you on your day, I’d love to hear from you..
