A West Sussex barn Wedding picture Story

I’m an early riser and love a long wedding day’s picture making, so meeting Joe, his dad and best men for an 8am swim on the Worthing seafront was a perfect start to their picture story. Yes, it could have been warmer, but I’m always up for a dip and only just resisted getting in with them. I then joined Gabby getting ready with her bridesmaids and family at cottages a short drive along West Sussex country lanes from their venue at Southlands Barn. A brief moment of rain challenged Gabby and Joe with the tricky ‘ceremony outside or inside’ weather call, but Southlands Barn is a calm and clever venue and the wedding was seamlessly moved inside. Young bridesmaids charmed everyone as they lead Gabby in to meet Joe and under the eaves of the barn Gabby and Joe were married in a charming ceremony. The rain shower passed allowing everyone to enjoy drinks and pictures outside including with the couple’s VW Camper. Southlands Barn is actually two large barns, with loads of room for the kids to roam and ample space for games. These looked challenging enough even before frequent visits to the shots bar. A lovely day - some of my favourite images are below.
